Are organic foods safer and more nutritious?

Some people buy all their food in boxes, cans, or frozen without giving it a second thought. Is this really the healthiest and the most nutritious way to eat? Studies have actually shown that it is not. Eating organic foods is the safer and more nutritious way to eat.

There are so many great reasons why people should eat organic foods. Organic vegetables and fruits taste better than those that have been grown using chemicals and pesticides and then processed. Organically grown meat and fowl guarantee that the produce has been grown without pesticides, herbicides, steroids, and antibiotics. Pesticides have been known to cause birth defects, cancer, and many other health issues, such as stomach and intestinal problems, headaches, etc. Organic foods are also more nutritious as they have not undergone processing which leeches the nutrients from the food. Retaining the antioxidants and minerals is essential to stay healthy.

Eating safer and more nutritious foods is quite easy in today’s marketplace. You can easily find a local farmer that sells organic foods and every grocery store features organic foods. Another choice is organic health food stores where you will find other fruits and vegetables not available in other stores.
