The quadriceps are important part of your legs. And because you use your legs too much, you can see how much exercise for these muscles are important! The best exercise for them is Barbell Squat (also known as Squats). According to many voters, it has a rating of 9.5/10, which is very good!

For safety purposes, it should be performed inside a squat rack! The first thing you must do is to set the bar (on a rack) below your shoulder level. Then you place the back of your shoulders across it. Hold the bar with both your arms! Lift it off the rack using your legs and straightening your torso.

Then you must move away from the rack, and position your body in the medium stance. It is crucial to maintain a straight back during this exercise! This stand, is known as the starting position. Now, you must start lowering the bar by bending your knees and hips. You should lower your body until an imaginary line in front of your knees is parallel with your toes. Then you must move the bar up. Push with the heel of your foot and straighten your legs. You should lift a bar until you reach starting position. It is important to inhale while you are lowering the bar and exhale when you are lifting it. Depending on your physical development level you can repeat this exercise 5-10 times for each set.

This is a serious and very effective exercise, but people who have back issues must avoid it! It is equally important to use weight that your body can handle. Maintain your body in a straight line or you can cause a back injury.
